Nielsen/NetRatings: Two in Five U.S. Residents Have Broadband at Home, September 28, 2005
Forty-two percent of U.S. residents have broadband at home as of last month - a 16 percent increase from the beginning of this year, according to new research from Nielsen/NetRatings.

NTIA Chief Defends National Broadband Deployment Policy, August 24, 2005
"NTIA administrator Michael Gallagher defended the Bush administration's broadband policy yesterday in a speech at the Progress & Freedom Foundation summit in Aspen, Colorado. "The President set a goal of affordable, universally available broadband by 2007, and we're sticking to it," Gallagher said. "We are creating the environment to unleash all these forces, and it's happening."
