How to Join
Congratulations on your intent to join the DSL Forum!
The DSL Forum is a non-profit Corporation operated for the benefit of its members. Recognizing that its members compete, the Forum strictly observes applicable anti-trust laws. Within these laws the DSL Forum intends to forge global agreement on technical specification, share deployment best practices, promote the market for DSL and facilitate development of interoperable DSL-based network components.
Your support and leadership will enhance the Forum's ability to meet the global needs of the broadband market. We look forward to welcoming you at our next meeting.
Membership Categories
[ Principal] [ Small Company Principal] [ Auditing] [ Associate]
DSL Forum Membership for 2008 is active January 1, 2008 - December 31, 2008.
Please Note: Once payment is processed, there will be no refunds issued
(and member companies who merge will not receive refunds).
PRINCIPAL MEMBERSHIP
Principal Membership entitles the member company to the following:
- Attendance to all annual, general and committee meetings of the Forum
- One vote each on all Forum issues, technical reports, and marketing reports
- Access to all working documents, contributions, technical reports, and meeting minutes
- Eligibility to run for Board of Director and Committee officer positions
- Eligibility to submit Technical Committee and Marketing Committee contributions
- Subscription to all DSL Forum email mailing lists
**Note: The Bylaws of the DSL Forum bars two divisions of the same company or any affiliates of a Principal Member from also being Principal Members. Other divisions and affiliates may be Auditing Members.
Dues:
$8,500 USD - 4 Quarters: Jan 1, 2008 - Dec 31, 2008
Application Process:
SMALL COMPANY PRINCIPAL MEMBERSHIP
Small Company Principal Membership entitles the member company to the following:
- All the privileges listed above for a Principal Member
**Note: Small Company Principal Members must have had annual revenues under $10 million USD in the previous year and are required to submit a letter from their CEO stating this.
Dues:
$4,000 USD - 4 Quarters: Jan 1, 2008 - Dec 31, 2008
Application Process:
- Complete and submit an Application Form
- Sign and return the last page of the Bylaws
- Provide sufficient evidence that your company meets the qualification to become a Small Company Principal Member (statement from CEO on company letterhead is acceptable). Fax to DSL Forum at +1.510.492.4001
AUDITING MEMBERSHIP
Auditing Membership entitles the member company to the following:
- Attendance to all annual and general (i.e., Summit and Plenary) meetings of the Forum
- Access to all working documents, contributions, technical reports and meeting minutes
- Subscription to all DSL Forum email mailing lists
**Note: Auditing members may NOT attend committee meetings (i.e., Technical and Marketing Working Group meetings) of the Forum and are NOT eligible to submit Technical Committee or Marketing Committee contributions or vote on Forum issues, technical reports or marketing reports.
Dues:
$3,000 USD - 4 Quarters: Jan 1, 2008 - Dec 31, 2008
Application Process:
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP - $950 USD
Associate Members must be not for profit or educational institutions. Institutions will be approved for membership annually by a majority vote of the Board of Directors.
Membership entitles the member company to the following:
- Attendance to all annual, general and committee meetings of the Forum (but not eligible to vote)
- Access to all working documents, contributions, technical reports and meeting minutes
- Eligible for Committee Working Group Chair positions
- Subscription to all DSL Forum email mailing lists
