Recognition Program/Awards

Circle of Excellence
The DSL Forum recognizes the exceptional contributions of its members through the "Circle of Excellence" award which is distributed at our quarterly meetings. Awards are given as a one-time achievment and determined by nomination and given to a select few who have exhibited exceptional leadership, diligence, or provided a contribution that was foremost in making the Forum's achievement possible. In general, their work had a large positive impact for the DSL Forum or the industry as a whole.

Outstanding Service & Contributor Awards
The Outstanding Contributor awards are given to individuals who go above and beyond the call of duty within the forum working groups by serving as working group chairs or making many contributions throughout the year, as well as attending all meetings within a given year to further the work that is being done within those working groups. First time awarded in Dallas, January 2003.

Lifetime Achievement Award
The Lifetime Achievement is an award given by the DSL Forum to individuals who have over time provided a major influence on the direction and success of DSL development. Individuals who receive this award are the key individuals who have helped the Forum chart uncharted territory in overcoming deployment obstacles, and whose vision has inspired our industry's growth.

Student Scholarship Awards Program
The Student Scholarship Program kicked off in 2006 with its first ever Benefits of Broadband student paper contest. The Scholarship Award was presented to the paper that provided novel insight and vision into new applications and features for broadband services equipment.
